"You fill up the frame with feelings, energy, discovery, and risk, and leave room enough for someone else to get in there." – Joel Meyerowitz
Urban Portraits
Urban portrait photography is the only type of for-hire work I think would be interesting for me. Studio work has never been captivating unless it was boudoir or still-life in nature. The outdoor urban vibe using natural light gives people a city vibe that I love.
What's interesting about these two shoots is that they took place on the same day just about and hour or so apart. Original planned by my son to perform, he accidentally scheduled them for the same time. Therefore, I was asked to come along to help out.
Although my I have limited experience in portrait photography, this effort taught me that urban portraits is something I will likely pursue in the future.
